End of Term Review - December 2025
The Board is pleased to publish its End of Term Report.
The independent review was undertaken by FinWell Coaching & Consulting Ltd and considered the Board’s ways of working, progress against its objectives and sought to identify any lessons for the new Board. FinWell have previously undertaken similar reviews for other Boards, such as the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority Board (IPSA).
The Board has published a response welcoming the report, and has accepted the report and its recommendations in full. The review has provided assurance to the Board that its approach to business and governance is effective and has also identified several themes and recommendations to further strengthen the Board’s arrangements and its strategic planning for the new Board’s term.
Mid- Term Effectiveness Review - March 2023
In March 2023 the Board received a review of its effectiveness. The review was carried out by Gareth Watts, Head of Governance in the Senedd Commission. There were 12 recommendations covering the relationships between the Board, Commission and Senedd Members; increasing transparency and effective resourcing of the Board’s work.
In response, the Board agreed an action plan which was agreed and implemented from May 2023.
